Very Healthy and Happy Relationships Programme
This programme is for both women and men who want to improve their relationships in a very practical and easy way. It provides participants with the skills needed to develop, maintain and strengthen very healthy relationships. A first step in this direction is to discover that a balanced relationship with yourself is the foundation on which to build happy relationships with others. If we are not feeling good with ourselves we will find it even harder to be good in the relationships with others in an authentic way. A key principle of this program is that one’s way of relating has been learned from childhood and subsequently shaped by the relationships that person has had. By being aware of possible relational patterns we can get out of the habit of automatically relating to others and difficulties and conflicts can be resolved much more easily. Longitudinal studies that have been carried out by some researchers have shown that people with loving relationships, not just from boyfriends or girlfriends, but also from friends and family members, enjoy better health and are happier.
The programme is structured in several modules.
Module I – Relationship with ourselves: 10 meetings
A. Self-love, self-respect and self-confidence,
B. the internal saboteur,
C. Attachment style – which has a major influence on how we relate,
D. personality type, love language,
E. trauma, the definition of trauma, how we can detect a trauma, what is the treatment.
Module II Relationship with parents or carers: 10 meetings
F. relationship with the mother
G. relationship with father
Module III The period when we are not in a relationship but we have the aspiration to enjoy a couple relationship : 10 meetings
1. our beliefs about love
2. liberation from the past
3. how we attract love
Module IV The couple relationship: 10 meetings
1. what a healthy couple relationship means,
2. what an unhealthy relationship means,
3. jealousy – ways to be aware of it and overcome it,
4. communication in couples,
5. communication in intimacy,
6. laws of attraction in a couple, reviving attraction and different libidos,
7. the spiritual couple relationship.
Separate module D. – The break-up period – how to go through this period more easily.
Separate module G. – Jealousy – how to get through it more easily.
The programme contains:
– an online meeting, or in person if necessary, every two weeks
The meetings will include:
– 20 – 40 minutes of theory – synthesis of the most representative papers on that day’s topic.
– about 40 minutes practice – “your hour with you”
– 10 minutes feedback time
– from those who attend, one person will be picked by lotery for a free 50-minute one-to-one session
